An absolute staple of the preparation for Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, this stunt hilt can be seen used in behind-the-scenes footage by Ewan McGregor while training for his fateful duel against Hayden Christiansen as Anakin Skywalker. Based on his original Episode I saber design, this is an incredibly simple, stripped-down version. The pommel cubes have been shaved down, the main hilt body is a simple tube, and a custom choke sits just behind the so-called "salt shaker" emitter cap.
To our knowledge, this saber has never before been replicated, let alone to this degree of accuracy. Just three simple pieces come together, assembled via M10 threads using either the included custom M10 screw, or the optional Nova Carbon Blade. Along with the Project EF Saber, this is perhaps the most economical and elegant way to replicate the dueling props used by the actors and stunt performers from the original film. The sabers are simple and elegant, and the blades are virtually indestructible.
Paired with the Nova Carbon blade, Project RH features a perfect balance point at the forward end of the choke. This means that as you swing or twirl the saber in hand, it naturally wants to rotate around the choke point, and essentially "wants" to be held at the choke. Perfect!
The basic version of this hilt comes with a custom M10 screw. Or bundle it with a Nova Carbon blade for a great discount on the combined set. Note, this hilt is meant to replicate the stunt hilts used during filming. For that reason, it is NOT designed to be used with electronics or larger blades. It is only designed for Nova Carbon, or otherwise displayed as a a hilt only.
Designed to replicate the original filming props, but also to be an economical way to duel with our Nova Carbon blades. For that reason it comes packaged very simply, in a custom Saberz.com microfiber bag instead of a more complicated and expensive padded box.
